Rewilding methods
Preparatory clearance work
in January 2005 for new access tracks and
demolition of derelict buildings on site. First
phase included construction of new channels to allow water to flow
around the site and a large freshwater reedbed at the southern end.
The second phase, a
managed
coastal realignment through breaching existing flood embankment in
October 2006. |

intertidal and freshwater habitat - reedbeds and salt marsh, mud flat
and grazing marsh. |
